The Infamous Alex, Jordan and Margaret

Alexandra Sokoloff is at it again; she has a great post on First Chapters that's a must-read. When you're finished, check out Jordan McCollum's post on Don't Tell Me How You Feel: showing emotions.

But before you head over, listen to what Margaret Atwood has to say about The Publishing Pie. She speaks for 20 minutes, then takes questions for 10 minutes, and although that may seem long, I promise it's worth the time. I first caught her speech on Rachelle Gardner's blog.

Love her books, met Margaret Atwood at the Hay Festival, bought her book to be have it signed and was totally tongue-tied!

Hi Carole. We did invite Margaret to a festive once, but her secretary said she had a previous commitment. LOL. Yes, I can see her taking time to come to Cluculz Lake out in the middle of nowhere. Glad you met her. She's a Canadian icon.

Thanks for sharing Margaret Atwood! Love her. And loved Sokoloff's tips! But McCollum's link didn't work for me. It looked SO good!

Thanks, as usual, for sharing priceless information and tips!

Hi J.Kaye. I love Alexandra. What's so impressive about her is her willingness to help anybody. That is good karma. Hey, I thought you were supposed to stay offline until the end of March! Bad girl.

I love Margaret Atwood's humour. I like her take on the necessity of writers being supported if there is to be a future for books, either in electronic or paper version. Being the protein in the sandwich is a good analogy for us! LOL. Haven't checked out Alexandra's post yet (we're actually away from home right now so I'm not online much) but will catch up soon.

Hope you have a great weekend too, Karen. Doesn't it feel like I just said that a few days ago? Time is flying by.
