BROKEN BUT NOT DEAD book cover

Still a lot of work to do before BROKEN BUT NOT DEAD is published. Oh, by the way, I have a new release date of May instead of July 2011. Yes, had to kick-start my heart over that news.

What's truly amazing is how seeing the new cover slams home the reality of what needs to be done. Am I ready? Not exactly. Better question: Will I be ready? You betcha!

I'm not going to embarrass anyone by mentioning names, but I would like to express my deepest thanks for your help, support and encouragement. This wouldn't be happening without you, and I'm more grateful than I can possible say.

  3. Hi Joylene,
Fantastic! Well done you. Does this mean I can purchase your book when I come over in May? That would be so neat eh:-)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, Joylene.
Kind wishes and congratulations, your way, Gary

  5. Yes indeed, May 7 to June 11. So, hopefully, I can get a copy of your book.
I would like to inform you that the parades in my honour, in Vancouver and Hope, are coming along very nicely. LOL

  6. What a great cover! Eye-catching, even a bit startling, and yet the first look makes you look beyond the words and wonder at the implication of that road. I can imagine when you get your first glimpse of a cover it brings the reality of the book's publication into sudden focus. It must be quite a different process for you than publishing Dead Witness was.

It's wonderful that the release date is coming up soon. I'm looking forward to reading it so much!

  7. Gary, you slave me! Your friends are in Hope, eh?

Thank you, Carol. Already I'm feeling different than I did this morning. Reality is setting in. I'm excited. A little nervous. It's a different book than Dead Witness, so of course, I'm worried that some may not like it. I just have to let that go and concentrate on doing my job. Big deep breath.

  8. Hi Joylene,
Yes, I have some friends who live in Hope.
I'm just worried that tourists in Hope might mistake me for 'Rambo'. Of course, we all know that, 'Rambo First Blood', was filmed in Hope.
Take a deep breath, Joylene. All will be just fine:-)

  9. Gary, you're definitely showing your age. You remember Rambo. LOL. That had to be 1982 because my dad was still alive. In fact it was the first video he ever got to see.

  10. What a pleasant surprise to have your release date moved up!
I'm sure you've feeling some mixed emotions right about now. Once edits get underway it'll feel very real.

This cover will certainly get attention and that's a good thing. It's the first thing we see before flipping it over to read the synopsis. I'm already intrigued!

  12. Thank you, Laura. I am feeling a bit concerned. I no longer have those two months to work with. I like the idea of traveling in spring, but there is so much to do. In fact, I've been blank since yesterday.

  13. Thank you, Judy! Once the shock wears off, I'm sure I'll be fine. LOL. I keep reaching out for someone to grab my hand and lead me through the next 7 months or so. LOL. This is a good opportunity not to make the same mistakes I made last time.
