Book Talk, Creativity and Family Matters

I'm scheduled for a radio interview on Wednesday March 9 at 12 pm PST with host Anjuelle Floyd, author of The House. If you're near your computer you're welcome to listen in. In fact, knowing you're there will probably be my calming factor.

The call-in number is: (347) 215-7740.

We'll be discussing Dead Witness and my new book Broken But Not Dead.

Just found out today that I won Mayra Calvani's ebook How To Turn Your Book Club into a Spectacular Event. Wow! Thank you, Susanne, VS Grenier Stories, and Mayra.

  1. A radio interview, how exciting! Will check my calendar to see if I'm free. Congrats on winning the book!
    Happy Monday,

  2. Honestly, it doesn't matter. I'm trying to be get out of my comfort zone, so probably it would be better if only strangers listen. LOL. Yes, I know, I've got to stop saying that. Thanks, Karen.

  3. How cool! I've got to clear the night for that!

And congratulations in winning the ebook!

  4. Hi Joylene,
Aha, my fellow radio star. I shall endeavour to listen in :) I'm sure you will have lots of fun.
And congratulations on winning that ebook. Well done you!
    Have a good day eh
    Gary :)

  5. Hi Carol. Thanks! I hope you can pick it up. That would be nice. Have a wonderful week.

  6. Thanks, Gary. It's been a wonderful year so far. And I'm so grateful to be able to say that. Thanks for your support. Have a super week.

  7. Congrats on winning the book. Very cool! And on the interview, too. I'd like to hear more about BBND so will do my best to be on hand on Wednesday. If I'm there, I'll have said a little prayer for your peace of mind and clarity of thought... not that I think you'll need it. You've done radio readings before so I don't think you'll be feeling intimidated in the least. :)

  8. Thanks, Carol. Prayers are always welcome. I just need to remember it's not a big deal. If I can be calm before the call takes place, I should be okay. Deep, slow breaths.

  9. Just finished listening to the interview, Joylene. Well done! Your excellent answers and explanations made up for the shortcomings of many questions. Anjuelle didn't give you many opportunities to talk about your newer works but the interview was interesting, and the time went by much too quickly! :)

  10. Hi Joylene,
Great interview and very informative. It was nice that you got an opportunity to talk a little bit about yourself and your writing.
    Lovely hearing you speak, Joylene.
Kind wishes and respect, your way, Gary :-)

  11. Thanks so much, Carol. I think the gist of Anjuelle's radio talk is about being a writer and juggling family. What helped is I went in knowing that. And I'll have plenty of chances to talk about my work in the next few months. Listeners will be sick of hearing about it. Hope not.

  12. Thank you kindly, Gary. It went better than I thought it would. Anjuelle is comfortable as hostess and that helped. Have a super-duper week, my buddy.

  13. AWESOME, Joylene. I can't believe that was an hour. It sure didn't feel like it. Kudos to you, young lady. I learned a few things too. Great.

  14. Hi Randy. Thank you for listening. I so glad you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful week.

  16. I missed this post and your interview but I'm glad to hear it went well.
    I hope you're having a great weekend.

  17. Hi Paul. It's still there, but on the webpage under Anjuelle's list of guests. I'm not sure how long it'll be up. I did manage to listen, and make notes. Every interview is a learning experience.

  18. Hey, Joylene! How did your radio talk go?

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate your kind words! :)

  19. Thanks for asking, Lauren. The interview went very well. An hour that felt more like just a few minutes.
