IWSG - Not Writing Related...

Because today is the first Wednesday of the month, you know what that means--YES, it's IWSG day, compliments of Alex J. Cavannaugh, our Ninja Captain!

It's a simple process. "Post your thoughts on your own blog. Talk about your doubts and the fears you have conquered. Discuss your struggles and triumphs. Offer a word of encouragement for others who are struggling. Visit others in the group and connect with your fellow writer - aim for a dozen new people each time. Be sure to link to this page and display the badge in your post."

Our Twitter hashtag is #IWSG

I had this woe-is-me post ready for today, when my realtor called and said there was someone coming to look at the house, our house, this morning at 10 AM PST.

If you've been following this blog, then you know we've had the house on the market since June 2012 and ... YES! -- This is our very first viewing.

Please forgive me for being crazy and irrational, and blogging on IWSG Wednesday with a request that has nothing to do with writing. But I just need one little favour. If you could give a resounding cheer for our house to sell, I believe that together we can make it happen.

Thanks in advance. You guys are the best. And I am so very very grateful!

    1. Thanks so much, Julie. I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but I got lost in all the forms, then my computer froze. I'll try again later.

  3. Sending sunny thoughts so the buyers will see your house in its best light and the lake's gentle ripples will glisten, calming thoughts so all the bird songs resonate happily, and "must have" thoughts so they'll offer asking price or close before the end of the week. CHEERS!

  6. Hi Joylene,

This is the start of the positive momentum that realises your home being sold. I do empathise and I actually had a TV crew from a show named "House Doctor" come and interview me in regards to featuring my home on their show. Never did get on TV. Wishing you much happy times, Joylene.

  7. Oh, I feel your pain! *crosses fingers* I'm sending all kinds of positive vibes your way.

Years ago, when someone came to look at our house, my 5-year-old son, his hands in his pockets, looked at the couple with a deadpan face. "So are you going to buy our house, or what?"

  10. That is such good news! I can't imagine having my house on the market for that long without a single showing! How discouraging! But you only need one showing--hopefully these people will buy your house! Best of luck to you!

  21. Sorry I'm late to the party but I really hope your house sells soon. It's such a feeling of living in limbo isn't it? Everything crossed for you. Thanks also for your kind advice on my IWSG post :)

  22. I've been in that "oh, please, please, please" situation several times, willing the house hunters' realtor to return with an offer. Our son's house in the Okanagan is now listed and had its first showing this week. They're on the other end of the stick from you, not wanting to move at all, but required to by his employment situation and with a specific time deadline. The whole process is traumatic regardless of why one needs or wants to move! I'm pulling for you and adding my cheer, albeit belatedly. :)

    1. Thanks so much, Carol. All this week I've been saying out loud during chores around the house, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

      You nailed it.

  23. I was on holiday during IWSG, but want to stop by to check out your post! Wishing you the best of luck with your house! We are thinking of diving into the market ourselves. Almost as stressful as querying a novel!
