FNN Report: Trump Threatens the Pope

FNN political reporter Stacy Conundrum filed this report.
Donald Trump, after denouncing the Pope a few days ago, said that after he is elected President he will vigorously defend the country and his Presidency from a trash-talking Pope. If the Pope verbally attacks him again, the Pope will be surpised when a few Marine Expeditionary Units assault the Vatican and seize control of the city.
At a press conference this morning, Trump said, “Once the Marine battalions seize control of the city, well see what secrets the Vatican has been harboring for centruries and well look into how they got all that art work they have in the museum. Something doesnt smell right.  Well send in hundreds of accountants to sniff it out and to see how much treasure the Church has.  Then well force the Vatican to pay the costs for the Marine assault and occupancy of the city.
If Italy objects to us sending Marines through Italian territory, then Italy better look to its defenses also.
Under my Presidency, the USA will not be insulted by a city posing as a country or even third-rate countries.”

Ms Conundrum will monitor developments on this story.

  1. Ah-ha, Hank! Trump denounces everyone and everything. You should know that by now. Nobody takes him seriously. I doubt the Pope does, either. ;)

    1. I hope you are right, Carol. I idea of him still in the running for the Republican nomination is scary.

    2. I have a few American friends here and they half joke that Trump will likely end up president. We all laugh, but underneath, we cringe. Now that is sad.

  2. Hi Joylene and Hank ... he is positively ridiculously stupid - stupid, pompous man with a hairpiece ...

Heaven help us all, if ..... cheers Hilary

    2. Hilary, on one of those meet the candidate tv specials, Mr. Trump grabbed his hair and yanked hard. Apparently, it's real. No one knows for sure if he is, but his hair is really real. Never trust a man with a weird hairstyle ... who said that?

    3. Hank, you have a hair piece?!?! No!!!

  3. Hey Joylene and the illustrious Hank,

Ah yes, Trump and the Pope will battle it out of some sort of reality show. The Pope and the President. Hopefully, that wont happen. Meanwhile, there seems to be a bit of news in regards to David Cameron becoming King of the European Union, with the approval of Trump, of course.

    Nice one, Hank.

Gary on the other side of the lil' ol' swamp.......

    1. I'm torn between giggling (when I hear Trump and another FNN report lightbulb goes off) and horror (when I think of how much trouble the country is in when idiots like this actually get a following

    2. King David? Humph. Would we have to put his picture up in all the schools?

    2. I agree! Don't you just wish you had a crystal ball and could foresee where ole Trump will be in a year? Nah, who cares.

  6. This is one example of how real life can be stranger than fiction, isn't it? :)

    1. I love how strange real life makes for great fiction. Doesn't happen enough. Doesn't mean he should be president though.

  7. Trump is so scary that it's difficult to laugh. He actually might say those things.

    1. uBt that's what is so remarkable. He's allowed to say those things because we live in a free society. Still doesn't mean he should be president. Shivering at the thought. Thanks, Susan.

  8. What is more fearsome is that so many people like Trump. Whoever gets the Democrat nod will have a better opportunity. Trump is a salesman and he is pitching a spiel that would be disastrous. Forget the fence to keep the Mexican's out. We may be running to Mexico.

    1. Fortunately, the Trump fans have a majority of the Republicans, but they are a small minority of all the voters. I hope it stays that way.

  9. The man (if that's what he is - there must be alien DNA in there somewhere)pops up on TV here in Germany too - everyday. I switch channels now. Interesting post Joylene. I wish America a fine new President that will look after you all properly.

    2. I don't get to vote because I'm not American, but I do get to wish and beg they don't vote him in. As a neighbour, he'd be scary.

  10. All made up but way to close to the truth! Such a sad time in history that he's gotten as far as he has. But then again his competition isn't much better. This is the first election that I've changed my party so I can vote in the primary. But before that happens it seems as though 4 states have already made that choice? How is this democratic?

    1. we have a similar problem in Canada. Ontario generally decides who will be elected long before the rest of the country votes. We're all watching and hoping common-sense prevails.

  11. Of all the wild, crazy, and alarming plans Trump has spouted, I may actually be behind this one. The Vatican, home to centuries of hoarders, needs a thorough going over. Or maybe they should just have their own reality show - "Hoarders of the Vatican." Imagine the world's psychologists try to get them to part with antiques...

    1. Lexa, I agree with you about the Vatican needing a horde of independent investigators with subpoena powers to descend on it.

    2. It has merit to a degree, except it's not up to one country to dictate what another country must do. One of the reasons we're in so much peril around the world.
